Painted in situ beside the inlet.   Laying the blank canvas on the ground allowed my complete freedom to wield the brush vigorously.   I was so transported in the process of the painting I added white to the colours which means the paint does not dry fast, which is normally a disaster when traveling from place to place.   As daylight closed in I quickly acted and threw handfuls of the red sand on the painting where I stood.   This proved to be very successful as the sand stuck to the canvas and dried up the paint enabling me to roll it for flying.
The result, apart from the painting, there is an extra piece of Kalbarrie on the painting too.
