While the Australian Bush has a rugged beauty that appeals to me the giant (Lords of the Forest) the Red Gum eucalypts found near rivers and swamps have an exceptionally rugged beauty and attraction to paint.
 
To Honour Age – to immortalize in paint.
This old beauty gave me license to use thick chunky paint to accentuate its time-honoured past because it is around  300 - 4oo years old.  Its significance is powerful.
